Some girls like to wear their friends’ dresses, show up looking like a bouquet of best wishes. Might even lay down, and cry with you a minute. But it’s all in the hunt. She’s unscathed by the act. Her statement’s polished off. She’s unscathed by the act. Yeah, it’s all in the hunt. Can’t believe I listened to ya’ chew the cud, deliberating so on and etcetera. We were on and off again as if some lightning bugs. It’s a story no one’d trust. An event to recount by myself. Don’t think I’ll lose this scent. I’ll recount it myself as entertainment. But I mourn for a close friend, and significant. You left shoes too small for anyone to fit. Must be an optical illusion in that floral print.
